The feedback received was that our visitors were really impressed with the professionalism of the event and the buzz as you came into the room felt very positive and energising. The presentations were great and combined well to give something for everyone.

A further event is being planned for the future and details will be added onto the website when they are confirmed. Thanks to all of those who attended the event and for all of your support.

Peter will give examples of the comprehensive support that the LMC provides to GPs and their practices and explain how GPs can get involved in our work. It is a time of major change in Cumbria and, exciting though this may be, GPs need to feel that there is someone supporting their interests.

As Don Berwick puts it – we all need to learn and master modern improvement science and Cumbria is a place that will support you to do just that.

- Doctor Chris Corrigan - Preparing for your applications, to include: CV writing, gleaning the right information about a Practice and enjoying your interview. How do you decide

During my session, I hope to help give you some valuable guidance to help you clarify the next steps you are about to take.  You thought CSA/AKT were challenging, but your next decisions will probably  impact on the rest of your life more than any others you have taken so far.  Where you go next may well determine where you might spend the rest of your life. This is not only about your work life, but also affects every other aspect of your life ahead and anyone else you will be sharing it with!

We will discuss how to best navigate the processes of selecting Practices to approach, give clues about writing your CV and how to enjoy the interviews.  I will also give you some ideas of what to look for in a Practice, how to glean valuable information needed to make your best choice.

I look forward to meeting you at this event which I hope you will find to be very informative and helpful in your preparation for moving forward.
