Working Together Steering Group meeting next week

Posted on Friday 26th October 2018

The next meeting of the Working Together Steering Group is being held next week.

The session will take place on Wednesday 31 October from 6pm to 8pm at the Excellence Suite, ENERGUS in Workington (full address below), and everyone is welcome to get involved.

Chaired by the Venerable Richard Pratt, the Archdeacon of West Cumberland, the steering group has had support from Healthwatch Cumbria and Cumbria CVS.

The group focusses on ways that the community and the NHS can work collaboratively on the delivery of the maternity and paediatric options agreed following consultation last year, looking at specific issues such as recruitment, retention and the development of the alongside midwife-led units.

This time there will be updates from the various working groups including Recruitment and Retention, Children’s, Maternity Voices Partnership, Telemedicine, Care at Distance, and work being carried out by the Cumbria Youth Alliance.
