The interim Cumbria Local Health Economy Strategic Plan 2014-19 was submitted to NHS England as required on 30 June 2014. It is work in progress and we continue to work on the detailed planning now necessary.
The interim plan has been informed by engagement with patients, the public, key partner organisations and health and care professionals working across Cumbria. We are grateful for the feedback and constructive comments we have received which has helped shape our thinking.
We hope to have a more developed plan by the autumn and in the meantime, we look forward to further local discussions in the coming weeks and months.

It has been developed with a wide range of stakeholders including women through the Maternity Voices Partnership and staff working in maternity services. It outlines the work we have undertaken so far and the work we still need to do to ensure our Local maternity System meets the expectations set out nationally following the National Maternity Review.
It also includes feedback we have received locally through the Maternity Matters survey carried out in 2015 by Healthwatch and the Maternity Services Liaison Committee, as well as the Healthcare For The Future consultation.
It focuses on the full maternity pathway from conception to post-natal care and links with tertiary services in the north east. This sets out what we hope to achieve for local women.

The Cumbria Local Digital Roadmap has been compiled by Cumbria CCG in partnership with the county’s health and care organisations and has been agreed by NHS North Cumbria CCG’s Governing Body the Cumbria Health and WellBeing Board.
There has been significant involvement of voluntary, community and patient groups hrough workshops facilitated by the Cumbria Rural Health Forum. Likewise, Healthwatch shared feedback from the widespread consultation it had been undertaking as part of the review of clinical services across Cumbria. A digital survey was also undertaken for which we received more than 400 responses from the public
Digital roadmap initiatives are reflected in each of the Lancashire and South Cumbria, and West, North and East Cumbria Sustainability and Transformation Plans.
The roadmap highlights the direction of travel for our health and care organisations. It has allowed us to take stock of where we are and to start a necessary journey to a point where the application of digital technology no longer needs explicit attention, but is integral to the way things are done.
